Sam Smith was spot on!!!!!
I can't say enough how much I loved this show! The acoustics within the Masonic Temple made every last note soar. Sam La'Trez Anderson could sing a commercial jingle and his voice would be perfect. You couldn't ask for better sound quality for this concert. His set even included a sweet rendition of "My Funny Valentine", a gorgeous version of "Nirvana" from his EP release, and the beautifully arranged "Latch", complete with Ruben on piano and string instruments. Sam sang through his catalog from "In the Lonely Hour" and talked to the audience about each and every song he sang. I would imagine with his success, it will be a long time before he plays such an intimate setting in Detroit again. The setting was very intimate. He closed the show with the song we all know and love, "Stay". This show was unreal. Every last song was more than I expected to hear in person.
